Paige Mackey Murray's practice focuses exclusively on civil appeals in a wide range of areas. 
 
Paige has been an attorney in Colorado since 1998. She clerked for four years on the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court, and she has a diverse background in many areas of the law. She handles appeals in the both state appellate courts and in the lower courts, including petitions for magistrate review and county and municipal appeals. She assists trial counsel in ensuring preservation of issues for appeal and with post-trial motions in anticipation of appeal. 
Paige was named Super Lawyer for 2022-2023, and Top Appeals Lawyer by 5280 Magazine for 2019 - 2023. She serves on the board of the Colorado Women's Bar Association Boulder Chapter, and she is a member of the planning committee for the annual Appellate Update CLE, the Screening Committee for the Appellate Pro Bono Program. She teaches continuing legal education classes and writes scholarly articles pertaining to appellate practice.
She has also been a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) with Boulder County Voices for Children.
Paige takes pride in her work and strives to provide exceptional appellate services to all of her clients.  Open, regular communication and personalized, conscientious service to clients is her priority.

Another Win!  - In re Marriage of Fabos & Olsen2022 COA 66, __ P.3d __ (June 23, 2022).  Paige Mackey Murray successfully argued to the Court of Appeals that the lower court erred in awarding pre-embryos to Wife for donation against Husband's desire to avoid procreation based on the lower court's elevation of Wife's religious beliefs that the pre-embryos were human lives.  Read the full opinion here

In re Marriage of Fabos & Olsen, 2022 COA 66, __ P.3d __ (June 23, 2022) (district court erred in awarding pre-embryos to wife based on her religious belief in life at conception). 

In re Marriage of Schlundt and Fillingame, 2021 COA 58, 489 P.3d 781 (endangerment standard of § 14-10-129 applies when changing majority-time parent as a sanction under § 14-10-129.5; court's endangerment finding was erroneous and not supported by the record).  

 
In re Marriage of Weekes, 2020 COA 16, 459 P.3d 1216 (retroactive application of the five-year limitation in § 14-10-122(5) and necessity of a hearing on the exception for where application of the statute would be substantially inequitable, unjust, or inappropriate).
